John Curran President and CEO of the American Registry for Internet Numbers (ARIN)

John Curran is the President and CEO of the American Registry for Internet Numbers (ARIN), a role he has held since 2009. As a founder and former Chairman of ARIN, John has been pivotal in leading the organization's direction and success. ARIN’s mission is supporting the operation of the Internet through the management of Internet number resources throughout its service region, which includes the United States, Canada, and parts of the Caribbean.

John is a recognized expert on Internet and telecommunications matters and has been the
Chief Technology Officer of three successful Internet companies, including serving as CTO and
COO for ServerVault, which provided highly secure, fully managed infrastructure solutions for
sensitive federal government and commercial applications. Prior to this, he was CTO for XO
Communications and was integral in leading the organization’s technical initiatives, network
architecture, and design of leading-edge capabilities built into the company’s nationwide
network. John also served as CTO for BBN/GTE Internetworking, where he was responsible for
the organization’s strategic technology direction. He led BBN’s technical evolution from one of
the earliest Internet Service Providers through its growth and eventual acquisition by GTE.
John has also been an active participant in the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF), having
both co-chaired the IETF Operations and Network Management Area and served as a member
of the IPng (IPv6) Directorate.


Bill Vass Chief Technology Officer at Booz Allen Hamilton

Bill Vass is an award winning technology executive and visionary in the Information Technology, Robotics, and Cyber Security fields. With over 40 years of experience at growing revenue, Bill has held CEO, COO, CIO, CISO, and CTO business leadership positions for both start-ups and Fortune 100 companies, as well as the federal government.

Bill is currently the Chief Technology Officer at Booz Allen Hamilton. As chief technology officer and a member of Booz Allen’s leadership team, Bill accelerates solutions that leverage the firm’s deep mission knowledge and leading position in AI, cyber, and software and data-centric capabilities.

Bill Vass was Vice President of Engineering at Amazon Web Services. In this role, he led over 63 AWS service teams working on Storage (S3, EFS, FSx, Transfer, DataSync, Storage Gateway, Backup, Snowball), Streaming (Kinesis, MSK..), Messaging (SQS, SNS, MQ..), Monitoring (CloudWatch, Managed Prometheus & Grafana..), Events (EventBridge, StepFunctions,..), Logging, Management Tools (System Manager,..), Auditing (CloudTrail, ..), Software Defined (CloudFormation), Quantum Computing, HPC, IoT, Digital Twin, Robotic, Autonomous Systems, Simulation, GameTech, and Studio Rendering Services. His team ran some of the largest software defined storage, streaming, and IoT system in the world, used by web-based companies, consumer companies, and enterprises. In short, his teams developed and operated the largest software defined storage, streaming, IoT, automated management, and monitoring systems in the world, used by web-based companies, consumer companies, enterprises, and governments.

Mr. Vass started his career as a software development engineer in 1980 and has extensive experience developing large-scale commercial Information Technology engineering and business systems solutions for defense system integrators, as well as the oil & gas and ocean engineering industries.”


Marta LaCroix Associate Vice President of Network at Verzion

Marta LaCroix, a Pacific Northwest local, earned her Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering and MBA from the University of Washington in Seattle. Over the past 14 years, she has built her career at Verizon, leading teams responsible for wireless network design, engineering, operations, and performance. Currently, Marta is the Associate Vice President of Network, overseeing wireless networks across Washington, Oregon, Northern Idaho, Hawaii, and Alaska.

Marta is a mother, wife, and dedicated Husky football fan. She loves to travel and explore new cuisines worldwide, but also appreciates local vacation spots and delicacies like hood canal oysters.
